I am Mobile DJ.  My set up is practical, but of high sound quality with: 2 - 300 watt speakers, CD MP3 mixer, equalizer, and lap top with over 1000 songs.  I use Torq Exponent hardware and software, as well as your basic Itunes. Although I have CDs, I use virtual files for most of my music, and the sound quality is just as good. I especially watch for too much bouncing Bass, or too much tingling Treble. Nothing can be more disappointing when one has to hear that throughout a song. With different pitches, tones, frequencies in each song, this job is constant. 

What I do: 

Art shows, Parties, Gatherings, Dances, Childrens birthdays, You name it...I will help you bring you your event TO LIFE.  I play ALL genres, and am flexible to accomodate YOU. Mixes are blended in using beats per minute and I like to keep a mix moving by moving from song to song, usually playing most of the song, but not the complete song, unless it is important - so your audience never gets bored, and one is never hanging onto a song they do not like. Finally, if I see that there is a poor reaction to a song choice (which I rarely see), I make the gradual fade out, and change the choice. Afterall, with so much talent in the world, "every second counts."
